The Cross In My Pocket by Karen Bushaw
On Ash Wednesday, March 6, and the following Sunday, March 10, a “cross for your pocket” was handed out to everyone to put in your pocket as a reminder that you are a Christian no matter where you may be and to remind you of the price Christ paid for us.  After the distribution on the above dates there is a basket in the narthex for you to “Take One – Share One.”  Please feel free to share them with anyone whom you would like to share the message of Jesus Christ.  A big thank you to the few who helped make them!  The following poem is included with each cross.
I carry a cross in my pocket
A simple reminder to me
Of the fact that I am a Christian
No matter where I may be.
This little cross is not magic
Nor is it a good luck charm
It isn’t meant to protect me
From every physical harm.
It’s not for identification
For all the world to see
It’s simply an understanding
Between my Savior and me.
When I put my hand in my pocket
To bring out a coin or a key
The Cross is there to remind me
Of the price He paid for me.
Spring Work and Fellowship Day
Sunday, March 31
Following Services

Our Fall Work and Fellowship Day was such a success,  that a special Spring Work and Fellowship Day will be held on Sunday, March 31.  Wear your work clothes to church.  A task list will be available indicating the jobs that need to be accomplished and more details will be coming soon.   Let’s “Make Pilgrim Shine! - Again!”
Let’s Do Lunch At Crackers & Co.
Sunday, April 28

Remember going to Crackers & Co. last April?  Everyone raved about it and said they’d like to go again. We’re going to do just that – almost – but at a different Crackers location on Sunday, April 28 at noon. Directions: The general location is west (directly behind) Home Depot on Country Club and US 60. The restaurant is on the southwest corner of W. Iron Ave. and S. Vineyard. Specifically, go south on Country Club and take the first street south of US 60. Turn right (west) on to Iron Avenue. You’re almost there – just turn into the parking lot from either Iron Ave. or Vineyard.  Come for the soup… add a fabulous muffin… and stay for the yummy dessert. Sign up sheet will be in the narthex.
Pilgrim Adult Choir Wants You!
Pilgrim's Adult Choir practice is held on Wednesdays, at 7:00 pm.  Anyone is welcome to join us in praising the Lord with song.  Our Choir Director will be our School Principal, Mr. Jim Wade.
Wednesday Bible Class

Counseling Program at Pilgrim

The Member Assistance Program (MAP) is a video-assisted distance counseling service through Christian Family Solutions (WLCFS) using licensed WELS affiliated counselors.  It is a customized and comprehensive way for churches, schools and organizations to assist in meeting the emotional and psychological needs of their members and students. Currently this service is offered free of charge to our Pilgrim members.  If you are interested in using this service, please speak with the pastors. Special gifts and memorials toward the MAP Fund are always welcome.

Prayer Requests

Pilgrim’s Prayer And Care Team is glad to announce the re-opening of the Prayer Box.  Located in the narthex, the Prayer Box is placed so that you might have an opportunity to request prayer, even if you do not wish for those prayers to be made public during a worship service.  In the past, prayer requests have ranged from "feelings of loneliness" to "death of a loved one."  Prayer Cards are located near the Prayer Box.  Print your name and prayer request in the Prayer Card, seal the envelope, and place it in the Prayer Box. The Prayer And Care Team will confidentially pray over the items within.  In addition, printed prayers from the team will be placed in the narthex for anyone who would like to take one home. Please keep the team in your prayers.
