Summer Worship Schedule Begins May 27th

Remember that we begin our summer worship schedule on Memorial Day weekend ending on Labor Day weekend. The first Sunday of the summer schedule will be Sunday, May 27th. The Fellowship and Word of God Hour will begin at 8:00 am, and the Worship Service will begin at 9:30 am.

Monday Night Service Begins June 4th

Starting on Monday, June 4th, the Thursday mid-week service will move to Monday. This will be a shortened service that will be held from 6:00-6:30 pm in the Fellowship Hall. This will provide an opportunity for Worship for those who were out of town over the weekend. In addition, the service will be more informal, so that it will be more inviting to those who are wanting to learn about God’s Word and Pilgrim but because of their lack of church background feel overwhelmed and intimidated by the thought of attending a usual Sunday service. For more information, please call the church office at (480) 830-1723.

Please use the sign-up sheet in the narthex. If you have questions about the Adult Information Course, please speak to Pastor Winterstein or Pastor Bushaw.

Sponsor A ChrisTeen

This summer hundreds of WELS teens from around the country will be heading out to Bowling Green, OH for their yearly International Youth Rally. Currently, there are three teens and one chaperon from Pilgrim that will be attending. The cost of the trip is $345 per person.  There is enough in the ChrisTeens’ special fund account to cover the total expense of $1380.00.  However, there is not quite enough in the account to cover travel expenses. Please speak to Gabe Galvan or the Pastors to see how you may be able to help sponsor some of the ChrisTeens’ expenses.  Also, please keep bringing in your aluminum cans to Pilgrim.  Recently Gabe took the cans to the recycling place and earned $51.00. Thank you!

Wednesday Bible Class
Join us for our Bible Class on Wednesday mornings where we study selected bible topics.   The bible study begins at 8:30 am in the Fellowship Hall.  All are invited.

Counseling Program at Pilgrim

The Member Assistance Program (MAP) is a video-assisted distance counseling service through Christian Family Solutions (WLCFS) using licensed WELS affiliated counselors.  It is a customized and comprehensive way for churches, schools and organizations to assist in meeting the emotional and psychological needs of their members and students. Currently this service is offered free of charge to our Pilgrim members.  If you are interested in using this service, please speak with the pastors. Special gifts and memorials toward the MAP Fund are always welcome.

Prayer Requests

Pilgrim’s Prayer And Care Team is glad to announce the re-opening of the Prayer Box.  Located in the narthex, the Prayer Box is placed so that you might have an opportunity to request prayer, even if you do not wish for those prayers to be made public during a worship service.  In the past, prayer requests have ranged from "feelings of loneliness" to "death of a loved one."  Prayer Cards are located near the Prayer Box.  Print your name and prayer request in the Prayer Card, seal the envelope, and place it in the Prayer Box. The Prayer And Care Team will confidentially pray over the items within.  In addition, printed prayers from the team will be placed in the narthex for anyone who would like to take one home. Please keep the team in your prayers.
